I have a BA in English with a Creative Writing Emphasis and a Publishing minor and have taken graduate courses in Literature.

I attend writers’ conferences, webinars, and read writing craft books and am a member of Oregon Christian Writers,  American Christian Fiction Writers, and Idaho Writers League. I lead a local writers’ group.

Some of my favorite fiction writers are Flannery O’Connor, Marilynne Robinson, Anne Tyler, Fredrik Backman, and Barbara Kingsolver. Some of my favorite nonfiction writers are Madeleine L’Engle, Frederick Buechner, and Ann Voscamp.

I’ve won writing contests and have short stories published in Live, IDAHO Magazine, and Talking River Review, and Otherworlds. Here are links to two of my online publications:
